The Louisiana Department of Health releases weekly updates on reported COVID-19 cases in schools, including adults and students.

See how each parish fares.

The weekly reports tell how many schools in a parish are enrolled in reporting, but do not give a specific district or campus breakdown of positive cases.

As of the Jan. 13 LDH report, the parishes with the highest totals in student cases are:

  • Jefferson: 799
  • Lafayette: 753
  • Ascension: 586
  • Livingston: 538
  • Orleans: 534

The parishes with the most student cases reported Jan. 4-10 are:

  • Lafayette: 170
  • Jefferson: 146
  • Ascension: 133
  • Calcasieu: 111
  • Orleans: 85

The parishes with the most total cases among faculty, staff and volunteers are:

  • Jefferson: 393
  • East Baton Rouge: 348
  • Lafayette: 341
  • St. Tammany: 335
  • Orleans: 297

The parishes with the most cases reported reported Jan. 4-10 among adults are:

  • Jefferson: 94
  • East Baton Rouge: 72
  • Lafayette: 68
  • Orleans: 64
  • Calcasieu: 62
