Festival de la Prairie

St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church will host Festival de la Prairie from April 26-28.

The address is 15208 Hwy. 73, Prairieville.

Torch run set

The annual Law Enforcement Torch Run will be April 26 at the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Training Center, 9094 S. St. Landry Rd., Gonzales.

The $40 registration fee includes a T-shirt; donations are also accepted.

Funds from the event support Special Olympics in Louisiana.

Cocktails and Comedy

Gaston's in Donaldsonville will host Cocktails and Comedy at 8 p.m. April 27 at the Inn on the River.

Dallas Nelson, Olivia Searcy and Josephine Rivera have been scheduled for the Lunchbox Comedy event.

Gaston's is at 418 Mississippi St., Donaldsonville.

Magnolia Market

The Gonzales Magnolia Market will be April 27-29 at the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center.

Fire department event

The second annual 5th Ward Fire Department 5K Run/Walk will be at Pelican Point Golf Club beginning at 8 a.m. April 27.

Hero luncheon

ATMOS Energy will show appreciation to Ascension Parish first responders with the annual Hero Luncheon scheduled for May 2 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

The location will be 40492 Abby James Rd., Prairieville.

Spring wine gala

The Ralph's Market Spring Wine Gala will be 6-9 p.m. May 3 at Houmas House and Gardens in Darrow.

Gospel in the park

The River Road African American Museum will hold the Gospel in the Park music event May 11 from noon-7 p.m. at Jambalaya Park in Gonzales.

Comedy festival

The Lunchbox Comedy Festival will be May 18-19 at The Cabin and Courtyard.

The address is 5405 Hwy. 44, Gonzales.

Jambalaya Festival

The 57th annual Gonzales Jambalaya Festival will be May 24-26 along Irma Blvd.

The festival association has released the 2024 event and band schedule on its website and Facebook page.

Juneteenth Festival

The City of Donaldsonville will host the 29th annual Juneteenth Festival June 15 from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. at Louisiana Square on Railroad Avenue in the historic district.

Vendors can apply through Eventbrite beginning April 8 at 9 a.m.

The music lineup includes:

  • 11:30 a.m.-noon: Wanda August, the Angel of Faith
  • noon-1:30 p.m.: Red Tape Musiq
  • 2-3:30 p.m.: Total Control Band
  • 4-5:30 p.m.: Michael Foster Project
  • 6-7 p.m.: Royal Essence
